About Moor Floors, Flooring Bournemouth

Welcome to Moor Floors where we sell quality carpets, wood, laminate, vinyl and safety flooring. We stock a wide range of textures, colours and sizes in our selection of carpets while you will find most shades of wood available in our flooring. Our laminate and vinyl sections are extremely well-stocked, with a variety of patterns and cushioning for floors of all sizes – both residential and commercial, including buy to let and HMO landlords.

Servicing Bournemouth and outlying areas

You can come and see our selection for yourself at our shop in Bournemouth, where we service the town, and customers in outlying areas, such as Ferndown, Wimborne and Christchurch. If you can’t make it into our store then we will come and visit you by appointment with our sample books. At our showroom in Wimborne Road you can also have a chat with our staff, where they will be happy to advise on flooring for particular areas or your home or business.

Family-run firm with 50 years in the business

We are a family-run firm, headed by Mick Saunders, who has been in the business for more than five decades now. Within that time, he has seen fashion for flooring change from carpets to wood and laminate, then coming full circle where today you’ll find people have fallen back in love with carpet but like to combine it with hardwood or vinyl or laminate choices in their home too.

And actually, there is no one type of flooring that suits every home, office, retail outlet, warehouse or rental flat. It depends on how much footfall you can expect the area to get, and just how much money you want to spend in the first place.

Flooring for particular purposes

Our luxury plush pile carpets tend to be reserved for bedrooms and sitting rooms, while durable Berber and hard-wearing Sisal carpets are ideal for stairs and other heavy traffic areas, such as hallways.

Water-resistant vinyl tends to be the flooring of choice for bathrooms and kitchens. This synthetic covering is available in tiles or wide sheeting. Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) is thick and can lock in to place. Advances in the product allow it to look as good as hardwood or stone flooring, making it stunning-looking enough for a bedroom or lounge too. In other words, you can replicate the look but for a fraction of the cost you would pay for the original wood or stone.

Whether you are looking for solid wood or engineered wood, we can show and supply both versions. Like LVT, the latter has also come on leaps and bounds over the past decade, to the extent it can also be difficult to tell at first glance that it’s not the Real McCoy. Come and see our stock for yourself, or make an appointment with the team today.
